Flower girl and Junior bridesmaid question

Amanda, on August 27, 2016 at 10:41 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

So I have been trying to figure out how I want the procession to go, we have 1 maid of honor, 3 bridesmaids, 1 best man, 2 groomsmen. My younger sister (she will be 13 by the time of the wedding) as a junior bridesmaid, and my step daughter as our flower girl( she will be 7 by the wedding). I don't have any young boys in my family or friends that I would want as the ring bearer. would it be mean to have my sister as the jr. bridesmaid walk down the aisle with my step daughter? Since there won't be a ring bearer and then my step daughter won't walk alone?

I think with your flower girl being 7 she'll be fine by herself.

I had mine walk down in the order they would stand: my 13 yr old Jr BM first, then BMs, then MOH, then my ring bearer and flower girl. My 3 yr old flower girl went down on her own, forgot to throw petals, came back up the aisle tossing petals as we passed her. It was adorable! None of our men were in the processional- they were at the front and then escorted the ladies out after during the recessional.

Will your 7yr old be too shy to go down alone?

She does get shy with new people but she will know almost everyone there and with people she knows she's a ham.
