I did a combo of both for mine. The real touch faux helped create the base and structure of what I wanted and the fresh floral that I added the day of, finished it off for the look I was going for. Also, the combo made it not so heavy. Fresh floral has a lot more weight to it than faux. It depends on how big you want - something like baby's breath is super light but if you add roses or the like the heavier it will get. I'm a go big or go home kinda of girl.

Sounds like @Tia gave you some great advice! I would be cautious to add any extra work to your plate for the day of the wedding. So maybe just adding a few fresh flowers on the day of!

My flower crown was real flowers, my florist used flowers from the batch she bought for my center pieces. my flower crown cost $25 and the flower girl flower crowns were $10 each.

I was just going to add that florist can create one too - one less thing to do yourself is always good.

I know how everyone feels about DIY for the most part LOL but flower crowns are VERY simple to make yourself (or have one of your bridesmaids make it). I made this one in less than 10 minutes just using a $3.99 bouquet from Trader Joe's...I got a lot of compliments but I also think it could've been much better if I had taken an extra 5 or 10 minutes on it LOL

Non pro pics of mine - lots of floral wire and floral tape to keep this sucker sturdy and the way I wanted it. Turned out perfectly!
