Flower & Candle Centerpieces

Lisa, on January 11, 2021 at 5:46 PM Posted in Style and Décor 4 18
I’ve posted a couple times about my centerpieces and I’ve finally found a concept that I LOVE (FH is on board, too!)!

Flower & Candle Centerpieces 1

So now I have to figure out... do I want the three large candles accompanied by 3, 2, or 1 small vases of flowers. My florist recommends 2.

What would you do? She said two because that way all guests at the table can see the flowers.

I originally thought 1, next to the table number so it’s kind of the focal point of the table but understand her point of 2, kind of (do guests really care if they can see them the entire time they are seated!?)

Thoughts!?

Personally I think 1 is fine and you should do whatever fits your budget.

I like the idea of one, but now she’s got me thinking! Lol

One is definitely the most cost effective.

Typically you will want odd numbers of items when decorating, so that may be part of why she suggests 3 candles and 2 bunches of flowers (bc you don’t want it to look like a 2x2 grid). But if the table numbers have a little weight to them it would balance out 1 and be fine.

I’ve heard that before! Our table numbers are 4”x 6” acrylic signs like this but in a different color. I think they are pretty good size to offset the grid feeling.

I originally planned a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme wedding. After I had to postpone and downgrade my wedding, it was more of a Diamond & Pearls theme. I absolutely loved it! Flower & Candle Centerpieces 7

I love it! Do you have photos of a full guest table? I’d love to see that too!

I don't have many pics but I bought 12 x 12 inch mirrors for each table. I placed the floating candles, votive candles, and diamonds & pearls confetti on each. Petals also... I put a table runner on each one and each guest has a silver charger plate.

I would do 3 candles with 1 flower vase. But make sure they are shorter than 12" so guests can see across the table. . Also if you are using real candles, the highest part of the flame has to be completely inside the vase. You can bypass this by using LED candles.

Thanks for the suggestion. The candle vases and real candles are from the venue so they have their specifications. We don’t like LED candles - definitely using real!

I agree with the florist it’ll be more viewable to the entire table and will be more balanced/symmetrical.
