Super cute ! Did you make your bridal bouquet too ? Or did the florist just give you extra flowers

No we had a florist do just my bouquet. Mine was pretty reasonably priced ($70 for an 8-flower arrangement which was all I wanted) but the bridesmaid bouquets were going to be $30 just for 3 flowers and it didn’t even look good, so we just got a dozen pink and a dozen white roses from the grocery store and wrapped them ourselves the day before.

If you are not picky, you can order at costco. However, there are not many choices

Are you wanting real flowers or fake? If you want to DIY you can go to the local grocery store get flowers from there and there are plenty of YouTube videos on how-tos for floral arrangements and bouquets! If you don't want real flowers you can buy off Amazon and other online stores and put it together! I am doing all my floral arrangments with fake flowers and having help from a few people and YouTube.

I did my own flowers and they turned out really nice. We used paper flowers made from all the love letters we sent each other in high school/college.

It’s not hard. I am DIY’ing silk flowers for the ceremony and reception decor and have a florist make the people flowers. I will save over $3000 by doing it this way. These are a couple of things I’ve already made for the reception (and by the way, I’m not generally crafty):

    Floral?? 2
Sweetheart table arrangement (please don’t mind my messy dining room that has become a floral shop). I was quoted $300 for a real sweetheart table arrangement. I probably spent $75.
    Floral?? 3
Floral arrangement for column lining the aisle. Was quoted $450 for a real arrangement just a little bigger than this. Probably spent $50 for the materials and it took me an hour and a half to make.

I found a local greenhouse and they have a DIY package where they will sell a 5 gallon bucket full of fresh flowers (in whatever your wedding colors are) for $95. I figured out how many stems I'll need, and then figured out how many buckets of flowers I'll need. There are so many Youtube videos showing how to DIY bouquets, boutonnieres , etc that my bridal party and I are going to make them ourselves.

There are also websites online that do very similar options, like Bouqs.com where you can purchase your fresh flowers and DIY them.

On no I'm in Vermont! I actually found them at our farmers market last summer. If you have a local farmers market that would be a good place to look! I don't think it's a rare thing for bridal to DIY flowers these days, I'm sure a lot of greenhouses will sell you flowers to DIY. Good Luck!!

I’m doing Costco or Sams (using my sisters membership card). You can also buy in bulk and do your own with Sams.

Hello Samantha - Thank you so much. I was actually proud of myself because I am SO not crafty or creative. I got all of the flowers from Michael’s when they had them for 60% off recently. They usually have pretty good sales. Sign up for their rewards (if you have not already done so) to get notifications of their sales and coupons.
