Floral costs

Katherine, on July 6, 2019 at 11:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 19
Just curious what others are spending on florals? We’re having about 115 people come to our wedding and our floral quote is about $2,000. I thought that was a lot so curious what’s normal/what others have spent or are spending?

fhanks!

I am only doing bouquets (6 for bridesmaids, 1 for me and 1 to throw) and no extra florals. We are DIYing them from Trader Joe’s so probably $150?

For my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, and 3 wrist corsages we were quoted $600 by our florist.

Florals can vary dramatically. How big are your centerpieces, do you have an arch, how many bouquets, what type of flowers did you ask for. Overall I don't think $2000 is way out of the ballpark. However if it's out of budget talk to the florist, maybe you can make arrangements a little smaller, or swap out an expensive flower for a similar in season one.

It depends on how much floral you would like at your ceremony and reception. We are spending around $3K for our wedding of 150 but that's for bridal party floral, ceremony and reception floral including table decor.

For my wedding, I spent 712.00. We had 16 hydrangea vases on the tables, 2 per table for 8 dollars each. The florist made a centerpiece for the sweetheart table that I could put my bouquet in. I have seen at other weddings where they do this with bridesmaid bouquets, depending on how many bridesmaids you have. No ceremony flowers. The ceremony was outdoors. We did not use cake flowers. I had an 8 inch bouquet and my girls had 2 smaller bouquets. There were 3 corsages and 3 kissing balls (silk flowers). 6 boutineers for adults and 2 boutineers for ring bearers. Delivery, set up and clean up were included in that price. I did not ask for specific flowers. Some flowers used in my bouquet were blue delphinium, blue veronica, eucalyptus, dusty miller, etc. The girls had some peach colored flowers as well. Our wedding had 71 people in attendance. I attached some nonpro pictures for reference. I just kept everything on a smaller scale and it helped save money.

That price does seem pretty standard (at least for the floral companies I have spoken with). BUT I was able to go with a wholesale florist and get all my flowers for centerpieces, bouquets, aisle, etc for $950

That price doesn't seem unreasonable to me, but we were quoted 3K-3500 for all of the florals that we need. We need 1 bout, bridal bouquet, cake flowers, 9 centerpieces, arch decor, 6 aisle arrangements, etc. We decided to DIY our flowers using wholesale sites, and I am going to be spending about 650 total which is WAY better for our overall budget.

We are having 5 bridesmaids and groomsmen. We’re having a long eucalyptus/flower garland for the cross during the ceremony. For the reception, we’re having eucalyptus going down all the long tables. Our quote is about $ 2,300.

We’re spending about $900 from Sam’s Club. Which includes everything on the list plus and extra 50 roses for decor.

It depends on how many floral items and types of flowers you are looking for. I'm only doing my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, and petals for the flower girl and it's costing us $550. We're also using a family friend as our florist so we got a slight discount.

I've heard other say that Sam's Club or BJs are good places to get some inexpensive ones.

Our flowers are costing just under $1100. This is for bouquets for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and a flower girl, Boutonnieres for groom, 4 groomsmen, ring bearer, usher, 2 dads, and 2 grandfathers, Corsages for 2 moms and 1 grandmother, and 12 centerpieces. No throwing bouquets or ceremony decor.

Mine was supposed to be $2,000 but she couldn't drop it much more with my flower taste; it comes to about $2,400. But I am just cutting out arrangements I feel I no longer need just to save a couple hundred. I will say that florals vary greatly depending on the types you want and complexity of the arrangements and how many items you have.

Our flowers are about 2000. My bouquet, 5 BMs bouquets, 7 boutonnieres (one for FH dad), 2 corsages for FH mom/grandma, 15 centerpieces (this was an estimate and may go up or down) and flowers for the arches, set up fees. I feel like that's a normal price range based off these comments and my experience.
