Floral cages

Are floral cages neccessary? I'm making arrangements for a triangle arch and bought foam from dollar tree and was going to shape to make medium sized arrangements. I was reading posts on here and thats the first I've heared of cages.

What do you mean by floral cages? Never heard of these?

Nothing is required as far as decor is concerned. If you don’t want something, don’t feel obligated to buy/rent it.

I never heard until this forum but basically it’s the floral foam in a “cage” that helps keeps the flowers intact.
