What's more your style? A floral aisle runner? Or a floral arch?

Assuming I have the budget for any of this (ha ha!) I'd go with both!! But with my venue space specifically, I'd go with the arch.

Arch. The aisle decoration does nothing for me.

HAHA Lynnie- Yes if i had a billion $, I would go with the Arch.

Question: What happens when you walk on the petals on the aisle? dont they just get F-ed up?? I'm confused by this one (dumb question I'm sure) :o)

Arch. I would have loved an arch full of flowers! I ended up getting married in front of a door, but I do love a good arch!

Honestly Kathryn? I have no clue hahah. But I've seen so many pictures of the aisle decor! I think some are individual petals that are shaped into designs, but then I think some are sewn together runners that keep their shape? (someone with better knowledge please elaborate)

We are going with an arch (not too fancy due to budget, but some flowers and fabric). I think it makes more sense to spend money on the arch because it will be in a lot of the ceremony photos.

Along the sides of the aisles makes sense. Down the middle like that how do you walk and not mess it up? I prefer the arch anyhow but that seems odd to me.

I like the aisle runner, but we're doing neither. We have 2 large floral arrangements on either side of the aisle.

Floral arch. That aisle runner will be messed up before you walk the aisle. Arch decorations are beautiful and you'll get great pictures under them. Plus, if your florist is skilled, the arch decoration should be removed and repurposed in your reception space. We do it all the time.

ARCH! I am bias. lol but i also feel like an aisle runner like that would get all messed up as soon as people walk on it!

    Here was mine!

    ETA - what centerpiece said!

ETA2 - we also had flower petals just lining the aisle, not a runner.

Arch! I am not really a fan of anything directly in the aisle.

Oh, I've seen actual aisle runners that have petals glued/sewn on. I'm pretty sure they don't move.

Soooooo...I did my own aisle floral runner because the florist wanted $2500 to do 40 ft. I was like CHALLENGE accepted. I bought 5000 fake petals from ebay for about $15 in dark purple. I laid out big sheets on paper, traced a design, laid tulle on top of the design, glued tulle together, then started gluing petals-- I did two 20ft runners that fit together. The day of, I added about 500 real lavender rose petals on top of it to give it a fuller affect. It was gorgeousssss. M

We're having the arch decorated with sheer drapery then top left half will be done with flowers that drape down. I saw a pattern very similar to the pic you posted and originally was going that route @Lynnie but when I compared the cost of the design to just having petals lining the isle and the thought of people just trampling all over them, I decided I'd have to let that one go. LOL! Plus I am going to see how I can try and use the arch flowers for our sweetheart table after the ceremony.
