Hey all! We are getting married NYE in the south, so the weather could be 70 and sunny or 30 and snowy. We have a larger venue with many buildings, but really there is only one option to have the ceremony and reception in the barn which is large, but not an enormous amount of space. I'd say typical "large" barn... I love the idea of the ceremony and reception in the same place because the barn is BEAUTIFUL! (plus would be nice to know where I'll be getting married and not have to have a 'rain' or 'snow' plan). We thought we'd just have guests stand outside, enjoy some of the other smaller buildings and mingle outside during cocktail hour while my coordinator finishes flipping the space for the reception... However I'm second guessing that now because it will be COLD at night! We thought about covered/enclosed tent outside with some tables and chairs but that seems to be added costs... Now we are considering setting up as many tables as we can and pushing them to the back (the location is too small to set them all up) and having some sort of backdrop? For those that are getting married in a barn/smaller setup and having to flip the space, what did you do? Especially interested in advice from those that had winter weddings! Thanks, and pictures of setups are really appreciated
