For all destination wedding brides out there - how far do/did you book your flights? Wedding is in 6 months and so far no one in my family has booked their flights yet, including my dad.... I sort of think this is getting ridiculous as he keeps pushing it, "I'll do it later, i'll do it later". The flight cost is already at 1200 (Korea to Hawaii) and it will only go up... Am I being ridiculous being frustrated...? My fiance's family has all booked their flights...

We're getting married in Hawaii as well, and I booked all the flights in September. Since we offered to pay for everyone's flights, I tried to find the most affordable flights.
I used Hopper and checked daily for any good deals. I ended up booking everyone's flights from LAX to Hawaii via credit card, and with the points I earned I booked their flights to LAX with points which helped us save a lot of expenses.

We went to a wedding in the Dominican Republic in January and didn’t book our flights until mid-September and we booked before most of the other guests.

Many guests wait til the last minute to book in case something comes up. We had a DW and many people didn’t book until a week or two before the wedding. I couldn’t understand why they wanted to pay all that money by waiting but it was on them.

My parents waited until their skymile points were lower. Our wedding is 6 months out.

Why are you monitoring when other people are booking flights? That's not something you need to worry about. Also, I don't think i've EVER booked flights more than 2-3 months in advance max.
