FIRST vs. LAST Dance

Kelsey, on August 25, 2016 at 11:31 AM Posted in Planning 0 2

A little background story real quick:

FH and I are getting married 9/24. Ceremony at a City Hall, Reception (I Do BBQ Style) to follow a few hours later w/ Friends and Family.

Because our celebration is a little unique, we kinda decided to not do some of the traditional things (cutting cake, father/daughter dance, etc.) HOWEVER, we are doing: Best Man/Matron of Honor speeches and Introductions)

My question is..... Should we still do a First Dance? Officially our Reception begins at 4, but we think everyone will all be there by 5. I wouldn't want to do a First Dance without everyone there to see. SO, now I am contemplating a Last Dance. Before the DJ wraps up, maybe do our Dance then.. maybe have people surround us with sparklers?

What do you guys think???

That sounds cute. I really like the sparkler idea.

Just remember that some people may leave early. So you may not get every one at the end too.

We are doing "first dance" after dinner so that we can open the dance floor and officially transition into dance party.

Dinner start at 6:30, dance 8:00, cake 9:30. Some people tend to leave after cake.

But you can do whatever you like.

Remember to avoid cheap sparklers and look for the one with long ends.
