1) go and look at shapes of dresses without trying to find the one. That is what today was about for me and I’m SO glad I did. I found shapes I didn’t like and now I can focus on details of the shapes I do like
2) let everyone in your party choose one dress within your budget. It made my grandma feel much more involved, even if she knew I wouldn’t like it
3) as much as everyone will tell you it’s your day, other people’s opinions most likely will matter to you. They do to me. So if you find a dress you love and others don’t, walk away. Maybe you won’t love it as much as you thought. Or maybe you will and it will verify your feelings. But think on it if you’re on the fence. There’s too many stories of dress regret to risk it!
