Hey everyone, So I know that my wedding isn't for a while still (over a year) but I got engaged a little over a month ago, so I think I want to start planning now! Me and my FH have made up a budget already, and we have looked at Venues, but we haven't set on anything, not even our date yet. I get super overwhelmed looking at pricings. Do you thing 8k will be good fro about 175 people? Or am I going to have to change my budget? I'm really crafty and so is my whole family, so we plan on a lot of DIY stuff, so I think that will save us some money. The food is what I'm most worried about. Any advice would be amazing! Thanks in advanced! I look forward to hearing your opinions.

Tori - perhaps you can do a more simpler wedding like a ceremony right after lunch and then a cake/punch reception where you supply some drinks, some bites and cake. Then you can get away without a DJ and you can have less time charged for a photographer etc.
