First Online RSVP and Music Request came in

Sheryl, on June 1, 2015 at 6:31 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

We sent out our invites this past week. FH has been chomping at the bit because he wanted to know if the online RSVP was set up correctly. We also put the Music Request thing on the website and we just got one for both! Yay it works. We went full on tech with everything, did a QR code for the RSVP and the Map cards.

Congrats! We had a great experience with online RSVP. What's a QR code?

@Alexis really?? I guess we had a small guest list and only three older ladies did not have computers so it was easy to manage. No one said a thing to us about it. But again, only 80 invited.

^Aha! Ok I gotcha. Yeah you have to have an app for those...I used to but I barely used it so I deleted it. Hmm that's pretty interesting @Sheryl. Is that the only way people can read your RSVP info?

How exciting! What are the music requests for? Songs to play at the reception, or what?

Yep. I've also been asked a million questions where the answers are on our wedding website which is on the save the dates we sent out 3 months ago. I swear....... People just read the front and put it on the fridge or in a drawer lol. We don't even have any elderly people invited. Oldest are my parents in their 60's!

Yeah, you need an app on your phone to scan it. No, its not the only way. We put the actual website typed out on RSVP card and the invite itself. The QR code was just an added bonus for our more tech geek inclined friends, which we have a lot of. Just grab your phone, scan and RSVP. The one on our map brings you right the Google maps nav, so its pretty cool. We did send mail in RSVP cards to the select people we know don't really use the internet or the computer at all for that matter. @Lara, on the wedding website you can have people request up to 5 songs, I think that is what it is, for your reception. We hope to compile most of our song list from that! Less work for us, plus music our guests actually want to hear!

Absolutely not a fan of the electronic RSVP or using the online wedding site info for this kind of social occasion.

Wedding etiquette doesn't work that way-and shouldn't. Very tacky.
