REVISED : Have chosen all members of wedding party, they gratefully accepted, One OF MY BRIDES MAIDS ASKED WHEN IS OUR FIRST MEETING...now Im looking for topics to be discussed because i assumed group text would be enough, who all should be invited and how soon should it take place...

My mom pulled crap like this too, "don't you want to have meetings with FMIL and I and the grandmas and so and so to discuss the wedding" ummmm no because I can plan my own wedding. And when I said I have a DOC paid to set up the morning of she was like "oh so we don't need to have a group of friends meet to discuss how to set up centerpieces", no mom because my friends aren't slaves... some people think weddings are meant to be a mass production and it makes me nervous!

Lol you dont need a meeting. Just go bridesmaid dress shopping and thats it. My maid of honor accompanied me to see the flowers and the venue because she wanted to but not because I asked

Group texts are my fave. We also had a facebook group for my BMs and another for a wedding I was in, but those were mostly to share pics and stuff.
