So, FI and I are discussing whether we want to do a first look & our staged photos before the ceremony or have his first look be when I come down the aisle and do photos during cocktail hour.

Some relevant information:

- We are spending the previous night apart and will not see each other prior to first look or ceremony.

- We only have one photographer.

- We are getting married at a small, local history museum. Ceremony & reception are both there. Cocktail hour is in the exhibit hall (which we and photographer would miss if we do pictures after ceremony). I love our venue and the idea of cocktail hour among the exhibits.

- We have a 530 ceremony with a 600 cocktail hour.

So, what did you do/what do you plan to do? Regrets? Reasoning?

We are leaning toward first look/pictures before but our newlywed friends swear that we would be missing out on his look when I walk down the aisle.

We are doing first look since we will get better pictures of us seeing each other for the first time. I am also hoping that it will make the experience a little less overwhelming sine I am already extremely shy and there will be 150 people at the ceremony or more. We will be doing it alone without noone else around so it won't be awkward.
