First look

I have yet to figure out the exact location, but I'm thinking maybe in our chapel! It kind of depends on my fiance too of course. We are checking our venue out again on Monday so maybe we will get a better idea then!

I am VERY superstitious about this one. There won’t be a first look, at least not in our wedding outfits. By that I mean that we WILL, most likely, spend the night together the night before & then get up, chill a bit, & go to respective rooms to ready.

Love that location! Very pretty! We are thinking about doing a first look at the spot we got engaged since it is in between the getting ready site and ceremony location. It’s also a place we just love to visit and has even more sentimental value to us since my FH proposed there. The other option is at the hotel where we’re getting ready. I’m fairly set on the engagement location because I really want pictures of us at the place we got engaged on our wedding day. I can’t figure out how else to do it without doing a first look there or leaving our reception to do it since ceremony and reception are in the same place.

We went to a garden and our photographer found a tree and we stood on opposite sides of it and took some pictures then looked!

We are doing a first look just not sure where. When we started looking into it we read all these things about why a groom wasn't supposed to see the bride before she walked down the aisle and we decided to do a first look 😂 Interesting read if anyone doesn't know the tradition!

Love your location. We did first look on a grand staircase at the hotel where we had our wedding.

We are doing a first look! We wanted to be able to enjoy our cocktail hour and have more time with family and friends after the ceremony. There is a gorgeous Japanses Garden in the city where we are getting married. We are having the first look there. My FH will arrive there first with the groomsmen and take some pics and get set up. Then I will arrive and we will go straight into the first look, then do wedding party photos. Then head back to the ceremony venue to freshen up and its go time!

My FH and I aren't doing one, but I will have one with my dad before he walks me down the aisle.

View Quoted Comment Thank you. It’s one of my favorites too. It was a second wedding for me and a first for him and it was somewhat causal on the beach. He had no idea I was wearing a wedding dress and was shocked at how I looked. 😍

View Quoted Comment We are doing almost the same. We are doing all thebrisal party photos first. Then first look when he arrives. Get all our pictures done then the guys and rest of wedding party. Heading back to venue to hopefully unwind for half an hour then ceremony. We are only doing 20 minutes of family photos post ceremony with two photographers and an assistant.

My FH is very private and he was this to be an intimate and private moment despite they being photographers. Plus we wanted to enjoy the cocktail hour with our guests

View Quoted Comment Hey nothing wrong with that it just worked better for us. Our venue doesn't having pretty out door areas for photo ops so we opted to have nice pictures and be able to join our guests for cocktail hour. My mom was upset that we were doing a first look. We aren't staying to getherthenight before just because he has free points for a hotel so him and the guys are hanging out the night before and I have too much to do the night before and next morning.
