Is anyone don't first look photos and taking pictures before the wedding? It's a new thing and I'm looking into it. That way I get my crying out of the way before the wedding and get some pictures out of the way so after we get married we can get straight to the partying.

We are not doing a first look. As much as I would like to do one, it's the one part of the wedding day my FH really wants. Either way you'll see his reaction, so it's more about if you want the reaction to be in front of all of the guests to not.

We are doing a first look for many reasons! It’s obviously super convenient with the timeline and allows us to get all our pictures done beforehand so we can join everyone for cocktail hour. But also we are super private people and we want that intimate “first look” moment to be JUST ours, without everyone’s eyes on us. Also it will ease our nerves for the ceremony! (We both don’t really like to be the center of attention) ... but it’s all about preference and how you want that moment to be (:

We’re doing a first look as well as using some time before the wedding to get bridal party pics. I think we’ll still have an emotional moment when we get to the aisle.

My FH and I are having a first look. We want all our photos out of the way before the reception since we will both be starving. Plus my photographer is a new mom, so I want to make sure everything gets done quickly after the reception starts for her to be able to leave.

We are not doing a first look, we defiantly wanted to stay in tradition and wait to see each other when I’m coming down the aisle. I am however doing a first look with my dad. 🤗 We are exchanging letters prior to the ceremony and taking a pic holding hands praying with a door btwn us

Yes. That’s our plan. To do a first took... get most of the photos completed... have the ceremony... take a very few pics after the ceremony (we aren’t having a bridal party so it shouldn’t take as long). This way, we can attend and enjoy our own cocktail hour and reception.
