First Look Pranks

I've never heard of this...and I love it! I might be the only one who says that though...

Not something I’d do. Kind of defeats the purpose of a first look if you’re sending someone else out or dressing up in costume.

ive seen some things that I think are pretty dumb, but this takes the cake. Why would I want someone else to put on my dress? Or put in something the could mess up my hair (dinosaur costume). Plus even after the “first look” I wouldn’t even be ready for the ceremony, so I’d have to go get changed! I honestly don’t know why people would do this.

Not something I'd do, but I think it's cute/funny. I wouldn't want FH to see my dress on someone else before he's even seen it on me!

I think it's hilarious. Maybe the dress isn't the bride's real dress, maybe they found a cheap white dress for the man the dress in?? I don't think I'll do it, but it's still funny!

I'm not a huge fan of first looks to begin with because I feel like they detract from the tradition of the groom seeing the bride in her dress for the first time down the aisle. But turning it into a joke is just something beyond that... idk I mean it's funny in theory but when I really think about it, it's just turning something that's supposed to be one of the most intimate moments of your life into a joke...? Doesn't seem right to me. Take yourselves a little seriously

I think they're super funny. People are nervous on the wedding day so injecting some humor early on doesn't hurt!

Nope, I don't plan on it! We weren't doing a first look anyway so it wouldn't really make sense for me to prank him

I think it's super fun but it also depends on your relationship with your FH. My FH and I go to comedy shows regularly and roast each other on the daily. We love the silly things in life and this would be right up our ally. Sure I wouldn't go as far as to ruin my hair and makeup but definitely throwing the best man in a cheap dress and get the good vibes flowing will definitely be a goal for our wedding day.

I think it’s tacky, but to each their own. There’s a lot of things people do that I never would, but the only time my opinion matters is for my own wedding. If someone else thinks it’s fun, they should go for it.
