First look photos

I was hoping to do first look pictures and a few with just the wedding party at a separate location that is less than 5 min away. With a ceremony starting at 3:30, how much time should I allocate to these pics?

I would allocate at least 90minutes. Our first look was I think about 30 minutes and the bridal party pictures will be at least another 30 minutes depending on what you're wanting. If that will be the huge chunk of pictures of everyone, definitely give yourself more time than what you need. If you're just wanting some, less could work.

Our ceremony was at 3. We did our first look photos from 1-1:30 and wedding party and VIP pics from 1:30-2:45.

I allocated 90 minutes but mannnn it went by so fast a part of me kind of wished I gave more time so that I could get more pics. I felt so rushed in general

For our 4PM ceremony, we did first look at 2:30PM. This was followed by wedding party photos and then family photos. We ended up going a little over, so I'm sure some early guests already caught a peek of my dress. 😅

Ask your photographer. He/she should come up with a timeline for you.
