First look photos

What does your FH think about it? This is something that men tend to feel strongly about. We are doing a first look. Neither of us felt strongly either way, and it made the most sense for our timeline. I also think it'll be nice to have a few minutes alone to take it all in as opposed to having that very emotional moment in front of our 150 guests.

We are doing a first look so we can get pictures with just the two of us before the ceremony. Those pictures are the most important to me and I'm worried that if we wait until after the ceremony we will be too busy and not get all the shots we want.

I did first look. I did photos before the ceremony since I didn't want a gap in between our ceremony and reception. It doesn't necessarily affect the way he will smile when seeing his beautiful bride walk down the aisle to him but I can see how it's a nice surprise for you to do

We did first look and loved it. 1) Helped us enjoy more time with guests instead of having bigger photo timeline after ceremony, 2) Our FAVORITE pics by far because we were relaxed and enjoyed 90-minute shoot around our resort, 3) We walked down the aisle together but it didn't make that moment less emotional. In fact, first look gave us time to connect before the ceremony in a private way and I'm so thankful for that time to connect before the ceremony & reception party. With the rush of the day, it was like a little break with just two hearts connecting.

We are doing a first touch and prayer, since my FH does not want to see me before the ceremony... Maybe that's something for you, if your FH does not want to do a first look.

We are doing a first look and then walking down the aisle together. I wanted to be able to spend more time at my wedding with guests and I wanted this special moment to be just me and him. No family. No wedding party. We are writing our own vows per FH request so I don’t think our wedding will be have anything taken away by doing a first look.

You're welcome. It'll be helpful to point out the pros/cons to your fiance to discuss together and you can always change your idea/timeline on this if you get closer to the day and change your mind. We knew we wanted first look but honestly, so many more benefits than I expected.

As for me, my fiance had a pretty strong opinion about not wanting to do one. He just said he always envisioned not seeing me until I walk down the aisle, so I wanted to honor that. I definitely think it's a decision that you and your fiance should make together.

I was the same way at first. I wanted my HF to see me walk down the isle for the first time. But a first look is just better for us. The photos will be great, plus we can take most of our pics before the ceremony and my bridal party will be able to enjoy cocktail hour. Plus I get so anxious and I know that moment will make us less nervous and more excited to say I do.

We did first look photos and couldn't be happier. We got a lot of the epicures out of the way so we could spend more time mingling with our guest.

You will be happy that you did. My Photographer took the most beautiful Photos of our first look.

We doing a first look, mostly cause i know my FH doesn't like to show what he is feeling in public. So any raw emotion he has, he is more likely to show it if its just the two of us and not a whole room full of people watching us.
