For our wedding, my husband and I wanted to wait until we were at the altar to see each other but we also wanted to share a moment beforehand with no one around. We decided on a scripture reading where we both stood on opposite sides of a tree and read our favorite bible scripture to one another. My scripture was Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 which discusses a cord of three strands (God, husband, and wife) not being easily broken. Following my scripture reading, we braided a unity braid to represent this connection. His scripture was 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 which talks about love being everything we need. The "first look" was so beautiful and gave us the intimacy we desired.
