For our wedding, my husband and I wanted to wait until we were at the altar to see each other but we also wanted to share a moment beforehand with no one around. We decided on a scripture reading where we both stood on opposite sides of a tree and read our favorite bible scripture to one another. My scripture was Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 which discusses a cord of three strands (God, husband, and wife) not being easily broken. Following my scripture reading, we braided a unity braid to represent this connection. His scripture was 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 which talks about love being everything we need. The "first look" was so beautiful and gave us the intimacy we desired.

Are you having a first look? If so, share your first look option. If not, share why you opted out of this 21st-century practice.

We will not be doing a first look. My fh wants to see me the first time walking down the aisle. We will be exchanging notebooks we have been writing in since the day we got engaged.
