First gift arrived!!!

So our first gift has arrived!! We live in MA and it came from my aunt and uncle who live in NJ.

My question is, do we send thank you notes now or wait until the wedding or shower or what?

I don't know if they are able to come due to my uncle's dialysis schedule/waiting for a transplant.

We started getting our gifts a few weeks ago and it was so exciting! Definitely send a thank you now. It lets the giver know you received the gift and it helps you to stay on top of things instead of having to do all the thank yous at one time.

You should open the gift and send a thank you note ASAP so they don’t have to wonder if you received it.

For me, I’m waiting until after the wedding, I’m just now getting gifts 12 days before wedding, it would just be an added stress that might send me over the top. Lol

My shower is next Saturday. I want the gifts to be a surprise and to open them at my shower. So FH opened them and told me who they were from then I let the gift give know we received their gift but would he waiting until the bridal shower to open it. I plan to send thank you cards post shower. I had a mini shower on July 21st and sent the thank you cards one week later.
