First fitting done - so excited for this bustle!

I can’t really share these pics with anyone other than my bridesmaids, and it’s killing me!!! I’m so giddy after having my first fitting this week. The seamstress had a hard time at first with my shoulders (they’re uneven in angle after an accident I had as a cheerleader in high school), but once we talked that through the rest went so smoothly! I’m already so dang excited to get this back for the 2nd fitting where we will put padding into the cup area for some filler.

Check out that bustle!!! I kept seeing single clip bustles out there with this type of dress and wasn’t sure when she first suggested this 3-part since there was so much material to bustle and I’m so short (5’2”)... but looking back now I loooove it!!!

Who has had their first fitting already? When’s your next? My wedding is June 23 so I think I’m on a good schedule! Just need to step away from the fries now 🙈

Ooo very smart idea! Two of them were there for the fitting, so I’ll be sure to have them try it out once the hooks have been sewn in and take detailed pics!

I know the feeling! Once you have it back you’ll fall in love all over again. I found that it helps to have some fresh, natural makeup on and hair however you expect to wear it to get a better idea (hence mine is up). I also take it a step farther and don’t eat anything bloat-y a few days before 😝🙈 but hey, in my mind it helps me get the best picture of the dress! Haha😁

Same! I didn’t think I’d like a clustered bustle from pictures I’d seen, but just goes to show you have to trust your tailor/seamstress!

Very pretty! I had NO idea about bustles! My seamstress showed me a one point and three point and a French/under...and I was so confused so I went with one. That looks great on yours!!!

Isn’t it insane that you never like what you thought you would?!! I was total opposite of you and thought I’d love lace, the illusion mesh, and buttons. Maybe a full tulle skirt. Couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t loving every one I tried on, until I tried on a simple one and cried the second time I put the simple gown on.

The mind is a Trippy thing

It really is! I’m getting so much more excited as each day goes by... next fitting in just a couple of weeks and then bridal shower in a month! It’ll all be here before I know it!
