First dances

I for some reason just always knew what I wanted for a first dance song aha. I guess it was also the lyrics that got me.

For father/daughter dance I've chosen "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. It's the one thing I've ALWAYS had planned about my wedding. My dad loves that song and we have old family videos somewhere of him dancing with me as a little kid to this song in our old house. I also learned to play it on piano for his birthday when I was ten.

As for first dance, FH and I still have to figure that one out lol

My FH kind picked our first dance song. We were long distance for a little bit, he said when he heard the song it made him think of me. So we doing our first dance to "Love Someone" by Lukas Graham. As of right now I'm still trying to talk my dad into doing a fun father/ daughter dance but I don't think that's going to happen

Our first dance song is a song we both heard while we were just friends and discussed how we would have loved to dance to it at our weddings if we ever got married again. There was no question in my mind it would be I Choose You when we got engaged and started planning.

So, my fiance and I don't have "a song". We have songs that we love and jam out to together, but nothing appropriate for a first dance. So I spent a lot of time researching and listening to different songs that fit us and I wanted to incorporate the fact that it's a Christmas wedding (our favorite holiday and a huge deal for us since we got together). The song I chose was "Under The Weather" by Chris Young. It's all about the happy Christmas time, cozy feeling with someone you love and it fits perfectly. Fiance hasn't even heard it yet cause he's just not that into any of the small details and told me to pick whatever I want and he'd be happy. For the father/daughter dance, I'm not really sure. I have two dads (bio and stepdad). Stepdad's song will possibly be "Daddy Dance With Me" by Krystal "something"(?) because it's the only song that I could find that wasn't specific to the dad loving her from birth since he didn't come into my life till I was 11. For my bio dad, I have no idea at all. He's been pretty absent since I was a teenager but has made efforts in the last couple years. So we somewhat have a relationship now, but I'm grown now and I don't think it will ever be a typical daddy/daughter relationship so finding a song to represent that has been harder than anticipated.

Our first dance song was just us listening to YouTube and finding one we both liked. My father/daughter dance was much different... I knew that song from the start. I listened to it growing up and always thought of my dad.

FH picked our first dance song. "All Better" by Mayer Hawethorne was the first song we ever danced to. I picked my father/daughter dance song ("I'm Counting on You") because my dad is a huge Elvis fan.
