Really dumb question but does it matter how you ”hold” each other for the first dance? Like is there a proper way? Two pics of examples of what I mean First dance 1

Literally does not matter. I've seen couples do all sorts of things and they usually don't stay in exactly the same position the whole time.

Does not matter. Find whichever way is comfortable for you two while dancing and stick to that 😊

Whatever you are comfortable with. Many guests won’t pay attention or be bothered by what you choose.

Aww Alyssa there is no correct way do it how ever you and your FH do when you and him dance. When you and him are dancing you feel each other's loves. And it's not dumb question

If you are not used to dancing romantically, you can practice and decide what you like. Also, there are wedding dance lessons. We are looking into those.

I agree with everyone above; I don't think there's a "correct" way. If you're nervous, though, you could consider taking a few dance lessons with your partner. That's what my FW and I are doing, and we're both looking forward to it!
