First dance - Swing dancing!

Bustle or wrist loop, otherwise your going to have to pick a different song.

You are going to have a really hard time swing dancing in a fitted dress. Swing requires the most movement of most of the ballrooms so I might highly consider picking a different style/song for your dance. Maybe a rhumba or if you still want a little bit of that swing feel do a foxtrot (The people teaching you wedding dance will tell you that you will look good no matter what - I've done that to couples knowing full well that they would have problems doing the dance they chose in their dress)

Idk if this is s viable option, but you could always change for the reception..or just for the dance specifically (the latter may be a lot of work). I don’t think you will be able to do that in a fitted dress..if all else fails, you may have to change some things up as far as the dance goes.

Bustle that train! Swing dancing can be done with knees together, just dont try doing the Lindy hop!

We are doing an east coast swing for our first dance. It is still a swing dance but not with a lot of extra movement. Our dance could be done if I was in a semi fitted dress. When we had our first dance lesson, our instructor first thing asked to see a picture of me in my dress so he could plan appropriately.
Make sure your seamstress does a great hustle that gets your train off the floor.

Can your train be bustled at all? Are you taking dance lessons? We are planning on doing a country swing dance for our wedding, and our instructor said I should buy my dress first so she can plan the dance around what I'll be able to do.
