I was teaching my FH how to 2 step too! Just the basics, none of the fancy stuff, but how fun!! One thing about 2 stepping for your first dance, you will be quite original and that is cool.

For my father daughter song, I’m doing “Stealing Cinderella” by Chuck Wicks.

I wouldn't be surprised if they all don't want to learn. It is simple and fun. East Coast Swing on the other hand... that one is too difficult for me. My FH and I western swing. We took Lindy Hop lessons one time. He is coordinated enough, but I am not. haha! It ended in a disaster and I am pretty sure I threw out my hip

I LOVE Stealing Cinderella! I am my Father's only daughter, but unfortunately we aren't very close. I'm leaning toward "I Loved Her First" by Heartland though... Just trying to find the right fit.

My oldest brother was 13 when I was born and he and I were so very close - I had planned to do a special dance with him too. Sadly, in May he passed away from cancer and now wont be able to walk me down the aisle or dance with me.

I think so too. The more I think about it the first verse is me and the second verse is my FH. I will be his second wife. The first marriage was a mess and fell apart. They were both so young. But he thought he would never meet anyone that he would want to marry again, so he just build up his defenses and called it good. And then he walked into my place and the rest is history.

I Cross My Heart is so beautiful! Tracy Byrd's "Keeper of the Stars" is another fantastic option too.

I haven't found out first dance song yet (too many songs I like!) but my Father-Daughter dance song is Camila Cabello - "First Man" I cry almost every time I listen to it! I also thought about doing "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles because it was a song my dad used to sing to me when I was little.
