First Dance Songs

Our first dance was Rose of My Heart by Johnny Cash (we have a backstory for it).


The daddy daughter dance was Daddy by Abby Anderson.

I'm not sure about the father daughter dance but for our first song as a couple will be that song by Ed Sheeran, I can sing the whole damn song but can't think of the name to save my life, lol!! I'll have to come up with a good father daughter song too!! Good luck to ya!!

For the first dance song we chose Stolen by Dashboard Confessionals, we are doing the slowed down version.


My father daughter dance is Times Like These- Acoustic by the Foo Fighters

My father passed away when I was 14, so didn't have a daddy/daughter dance

We were trying to come up with a great song and were stumped. I'd considered a love song from 1985 when we first met and dated merging into a current song, but when we heard "perfect" by Ed Shearan we knew it was the one. The line "we were just kids when we fell in love, not knowing what it was" was it. I got teary listening

Our first dance was to Better Together by Luke Combs. I danced with my stepdad to He Didn’t Have To Be by Brad Paisley.

Our song is Jason Mraz's "I Won't Give Up," so we danced to that. My dad passed before the wedding, so I danced with my brother to John Denver's "Sunshine On My Shoulders," because that was where my dad got his nickname for me.

I'm laughing here. We have different tastes also. We're not doing a first dance!!!
