First Dance songs

Maybe your DJ could come up with some sort of a mashup/switch from a slower song to something more upbeat halfway through so you get the best of both worlds!

Have y'all tried listening to music together to try to find the right song for you both? Or do you have a song that's "your" song? Another option would be to do part of one song and lead into another?

I feel you! My wedding is in 32 days & we just started figuring out our first dance yesterday, but what about doing a mix of songs? For example, my FH & I are choosing 4 different songs (not the entire song, but about 35 seconds of each song) & the first starts out slow then the next songs are upbeat!

I like the idea of a song switch - who says you can’t have more than one first dance song, right?! Also, I feel you on this - we are a month away and we can’t decide between songs. I feel like it’s going to be game time decision😆

We are doing two 1st dance songs. My Fiancé picked a song for me that describes how he feels about me and I chose a song that describes my feelings for him and neither are telling the other their song until the 1st dance so it will be a surprise and special. We each just told my mom who is coordinating the DJ and the Music so the day of the wedding will be the first time we each hear what song the other picked. You could start off with a the slow song then 3/4 through have the DJ switch it up quickly to the fast song.
