First Dance song

My fiancé and I are have serious problems picking a first dance song. He is more into country, and rock music... but I am more into what current and pop. We don’t want the same old songs everybody does... but we are struggling to find one.


We for sure want something more upbeat but not too fast ( he is self conscious of his dance abilities and would skip the first dance if I’d let him). I am NOT a sappy person... so I’m stuck. I’ve gone through numerous playlists on Spotify and we found one we like but it was too fast, and the wedding version was way too slow. Any advice?
Song: No Matter Where You Are by Us the Duo.

    I don’t have any song suggestions but you could always split the dance in half and play 2 different songs since you like different things, I’ve seen that before!

    What about something by Dan and Shay, Kane Brown, or Thomas Rhett? They're all kind of country, kind of poppy.

    Love this! This was my first thought as well. Our first dance is Heaven by Kane Brown.

    Islands in the Stream, by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers is our song. Neither of us love country, but it's a great upbeat love song with country elements and poppy enough to dance to. I can't help but smile every time I hear it.
