First Dance Song

Brieanna, on February 4, 2018 at 3:59 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 16

My FH doesn't want anything sappy or mushy, I feel though it should be a little of both since its our first dance together,

Suggestions on songs please!!!

Make my dreams come true! It’s got a fun beat but still sentimental

This Will Be (an everlasting love) by Natalie Cole for our first dance.

Nothing slow or sappy for the spotlight dances. I’m sure my FMIL will be very upset that it’s not some sappy song that she got to pick for the mother son hahahaha

Sade: By your side is ours. You should research some wedding songs. I found a ton. Nat King Cole has many or even Frank Sinatra. Just depends on your music taste too.

What type of music do you and your fiancé like?

A sweet, upbeat song is "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of you" by Frankie Valle and The Four Seasons.

For those who asked about our music, not something we would have because of certain guest, we listen to rap hip hop, no country really and any slow songs are out of the question.

Michael Buble is a perfect mix between sincere and mush with his old school style. I'm personally using "Close Your Eyes" but "Everything" is great too. He has a few others I'm sure you'd enjoy

This is one of my favorite songs! We almost chose this, but found another one that we can dance to a little better.

What about “you are the best thing” by Ray lamontagne? A love song but not too slow, with a more chill vibe

Look up "Dance Me to the End of Love" cover by the Civil Wars. Our "songs" together are not really first dance material and I absolutely LOVE this song. It is gorgeous, unique (which I love) and totally sway-able. You don't need to have a routine for it, and people will be swept away. Also it is a male-female duet which I think is perfect for a wedding. The chemistry between the singers is so intense and amazing, and I think it will translate. Not up beat per say, but really worth looking at.
