First Dance Song

We chose "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole. It sums up how we feel about each other exactly. "Its incredible how someone so unforgettable, thinks that I'm unforgettable too".

Prosthetic Love by Typhoon. they're our favorite band. the song is about how real love isn't necessarily what the movies make it out to be and that it's about finding someone you come to count on, like your own fingers.. (hence the title) I think i might cry a little.

We are going a little more upbeat with "Everything" by Michael Buble. It's "our" song we always dance to in our living room.

"I choose you" by Andy grammar I heard it. I liked it. Told him this would be it (before we ever got engaged) he said okay. And that was that.

Father/daughter dance on the other hand....I can't listen to a single song without starting to cry.

"Crash My Party" Luke Bryan, has been our song since the start.

We were going to use "If I Didn't Have You" by Thompson Square because the first time I played it for him and we danced it made him tear up. We weren't engaged then, but we said at that point it would be our song. Now we're leaning more towards "Then" by Braid Paisley. Even though it's used a lot, it fits us so well. He actually did take me back to where we first met with people around and proposed, just like in the lyrics.

We're doing "As The World Falls Down" by David Bowie, from the movie Labyrinth. It's always been one of my favorite songs, and I've always dreamed of using it as the first dance song. Labyrinth was also one of the first movies FH and I watched together, and we actually slow danced in our pajamas in his bedroom to the song when it came on. :')

A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. We are using this because the lyrics describe us and how much we love each other. Plus I cried when I first heard it and FH liked it enough to suggest it be our song. I am tearing up now thinking about that song as we dance as husband and wife

I'm doing "the only exception" by paramore

"Crazy for You" by Madonna. FH and I are children of the 80's. (I was born in 73 and he 69.) He suggested it a while ago. I love that song. He and I are using quite a few older songs. I'm walking down to Annie's Song and we are using You Make My Dreams Come True by Hall & Oates as our reception entrance song.

We are doing Giving All We Got Tonight by George Strait. We had a lot of trouble trying to find a song and this was the first one we agreed on!

We are most likely doing "I don't dance" by Lee Brice. I wanted "I swear" by John Michael Montgomery and he wanted "It all Started with a Beer" by Frankie Ballard. So we compromised and are going to have those songs played at the wedding, but do a song we both like for our song.

We're also doing "I Don't Dance" by Lee Brice. FH is a pretty shy guy, and that song just describes the moment perfectly.

We used "I Don't Dance" By Lee Brice. DH picked our song, he was always convinced he would never get married, but then we met.

We are going "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" Rod Stewart - I am big about lyrics, he's big on something slow and short (he's shy and not a dancer), this was perfect. "fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness, ease my troubles that what you do".... so true for us and it makes my heart go pitter patter.

You Won't Ever Be Lonely by Andy Griggs because he is our FAVE!

We picked "Orange Colored Sky" because we thought we could have fun with it and ham it up some. Our first choice because we both love REM (we're old :p) was "Strange Currencies," but we didn't really leave enough time to sufficiently learn and practice a faster Viennese waltz for it. Still practicing, and it still may stress us out a little (not to mention not being able to have a dress rehearsal)...but we're done in 8 days one way or another!

We don't have an official song picked yet as we've got a while to go.. but I'be always loved Chasing Cars. I'm also considering One Call Away. FH doesn't listen to music so he told me to just choose it all, lol.

By Your Side by Sade will be our first song because FH is a huge fan of Sade
