What do you guys think of the John Legend and Meaghan Trainor song "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" as a first dance song? I love that song and it's all about love and not taking each other for granted. But are the lyrics too sad? Like it's more about death instead of marriage?

I'm supposed to come up with three songs and my FH is doing the same then we're going to go from there bc we can't agree so far. Lol. Other songs I'm considering are:

At Last by Etta James
Here and Now by Luther Vandross
Let's Stay Together by Al Green

I just heard that song and added it to our wedding playlist. I agree that it’s a song about love and not taking each other for granted. 👍🏽 Let us know what song you pick.

I think it's a beautiful first dance song I would have chosen it if my FH had liked it and if it has been a waltz.
I mean these lyrics? Totally perfect:

If that is the song you ha e your heart set on, GO FOR IT! Its nice that you guys are both taking the time to choose from lists together.❤ on a personal note, I Don't think it speaks of death either, I believe it speaks more of not taking any minute for granted and appreciating what you have....Do let us know what you guys decide!!!

I fell in love with the song when I first heard it and it would be our first dance, but FH picked another one. We've added it to our playlist.
