First dance song too long?

FH and I don't share very similar taste in music, but we did find a song that we both loved and wanted to use as our first dance song. My only concern is that the song is 4:52 long. That feels like an awfully long time to be the only two people dancing in the room. I don't want to bore the guests to tears. Does that seem like it would be too long for a first dance song? We are willing to change it, but as of yet haven't found anything else that we both love. Thanks in advance for the help and opinions!

Honestly alot of people don't watch the first dance. So if yall both love the song and wanna dance to it, then go for it. Doesn't matter how long bc you'll be so lost in each other nothing else will matter.

We cut ours to about 3 minutes and I thought that was perfect

Invite your bridal party or others to join you after a couple of minutes.

I would try to cut it down--your DJ might have some recommendations on shortening it.

I think that's way too long. Your guests will be very bored.
You could choose a 2 minute portion of the song to dance to. If you want to dance to the whole song, you could open up the dancefloor halfway though.

@CMC I was thinking 3 minutes would be better.
@nextMrsD no bridal party, but I had had the same thought about inviting other couples to join. I've never personally seen that done, so I wasn't sure if it would seem strange to the guests. ETA: I think it could be cut down, so maybe that's my best option.
