Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I haven't really been able to agree on a first dance song. We have a list of a few that we are considering. Our biggest disagreement is he doesn't think we should use a song no one has ever heard (my top choice song) and thinks we should use a more popular song. Looking for some advice. Does it really matter if people know your first dance song?

I don't think it matters at all that people don't know your first song. not everyone has the same music tastes so not everyone will know the song anyway. i think you should go with a song that has meaning to you guys or that tells the story of your love.

I don’t think it matters at all either. Our song was one that no one knew. I think it’s the one moment when you 2 share something between just you and him.

I don't think anyone of our guests will be familiar with our first guest song, but I can't imagine why that would matter to them. They just want to see you happy and together!

No, I don't think it matters at all! It should just be special to you two i think it's even better if no one really knows it, that way it's not overplayed or overdone. One of our options is a song that I'm pretty sure most people don't know (and my mom hates) lol

All that matters is that you like the song. Many first dance songs are unfamiliar to guests and that is perfectly ok.
