First Dance Rehearsal

I'm off to my first dance rehearsal in an hour! A bit nervous because I have never taken a dance lesson. How many of you are having a choreographed dance? Should I take my actual wedding shoes or just any heel will do?

We just had our first dance lesson yesterday. It was so much fun! I brought my actual wedding shoes and I'm glad I did. Our instructor also recommended that when I get really close to the wedding, I bring in my dress to try dancing in it. Apparently it is really easy to get your shoes caught in your dress if you don't practice. I won't actually be able to do it because my dress will be 3 hours away at my parents house but just thought I'd put it on here in case it helps anyone else.

I wouldn't normally go for a choreographed dance but FH has never danced before and is really nervous about dancing in front of everyone, so I think it will actually help him to have a set plan in place. Otherwise I would have just wanted to learn a type of dance and just improvise the day of...but i think we'll go ahead and do something more choreographed.
