First Dance & Father Daughter Songs

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Tarryn!! What sort of genre of music would you like? Do you want a slow or upbeat song?

My go to suggestion is You'll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins or Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder. I think they're good examples of that sort of love that a father/daughter or parent/child relationship in general.

Our first dance song is going to be leather and lace by srevie nicks and don henley.
I haven't picked a father daughter dance song yet but I know there are several food ones if you like country music.

For us our first dance is going to be to "our song" which is All I Want is You by U2. Do you and your FH have a special song?

This is my second wedding, first time around my Dad and I danced to Unforgettable by Nat King Cole.

FH & I didn’t have a special song and we have different taste in music, so we started with what kind of dance we wanted to do. We decided learning a waltz would be fun so we went from there. Out first dance song will be Rainbow Connect (by the Muppets).

Still figuring out father/daughter dance....

We’re not sure about what our first dance song is, but I decided on Celine Dion’s “because you loved me” for the father/daughter dance. The song was written for her husband that passed away, but the song is so nice and the lyrics definitely apply to how I feel about my dad.

Our first dance is going to be to "Forever Like That" by Ben Rector. He has a lot of cute romantic songs that are chill if youre interested in that kind of style!

Daddy Daughter is very cliche, but will be to "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle

We have a few but they not ones we could dance at the wedding too. Or maybe we just could actually :-) The Lyrics are not all like first dance type of lyrics but still good.
