First dance- cut it short or invite guests to dance floor?

We’re cutting ours short as the song has a long intro and outro. But given the size of your wedding I think it would be cute to invite everyone to join you.

We didn't do either. I am not into all the wedding traditions but I like the song we chose and we had it played live. It was maybe 3 minutes. It wasn't that bad. We did fade the parent dances out.

I think we are probably going to cut it short. Since there aren't that many people at your wedding, I'd just cut it short.

Usually I'd say it's fine, People will enjoy it particularly if it's choreographed etc but as it's very small wedding perhaps a shorter one would be better

Either option would be fine! Our first dance song had a lot of meaning to us, so I didn’t want to cut it short, but the DJ invited others to join in after a bit and that worked out great. It would for you as well, even for a small crowd....if only a few join in, good for them!

We invited everyone to join us after about 30 seconds into the first dance. We had 40 guests and nearly everyone joined us. We didn't limit it to just couples though. Anyone who wanted to dance could join us.

We both hate being center of attention so we are inviting his parents and my parents to join in with us.
