First dance choreographed?

Jessica, on March 21, 2019 at 5:05 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 9
What are people's feelings on this, did you do it? Do you regret it or are you glad? Do you have to pick a ballroom dance style? My sister is actually a dance instructor so she'll be giving us lessons at her studio, but she's very new at it and originally said that we need to figure out what style fits the beats per minute on our song... And it fits samba which I hate for a first dance. So stiff looking!

Ours was choreographed! We went to a dance studio for 10 private lessons. Our instructor listened to our song and decided what type of dance would go best. I don’t regret it at all and I love looking at our pictures and seeing everyone’s shocked and excited faces during our dance.

This could be really nice, but it's just not for us at all. We're doing middle school slow dance style lol.

I would say (from what I have read, other peoples thoughts on it) if you do it don't take up too much time both at the wedding and learning it and don't use a bunch of money on it! If your sister is doing it, I image you aren't! We are going to self coreograph our song with the dance from Ed Sheerans "Thinking out loud" ♡

Ours is choreographed! But I wanted an excuse to take ballroom so it all worked out. We've really enjoyed the process of learning to Waltz and learning a choreographed number. We're both a little nervous about actually preforming it but I'm so happy we decided to do it

My FH and I's dance is choreographed but it's something we wanted to do and we found a good deal from Groupon. It has helped me not be so nervous about dancing in front of everyone. Also, we learned a couple of other dances to use for the rest of the night.

My husband & I took private dance lessons. It was one of our best decisions! We had a blast learning how to dance at the studio & our guests were shocked at the wedding. It was a great experience overall & I’d totally recommend a choreographed dance!

We weren’t going to do a choreographed dance, but I used to do ballroom dance competitions in college so a bunch of people kept mentioning how they were looking forward to seeing our first dance lol. We went to one of my previous dance instructors and are putting together a simple routine

I would do a choreographed dance if I could! I used to do a little dancing when I was younger so I would have been down with it. But FH does not want to. Lol

My FH and I have learned swing dance over the past few years and so we decided to have the traditional slow first dance and then after dinner, to kick off the general dance for our guests, we are doing an upbeat choreographed swing dance to "Dance withe Tonight". Our dance instructor is choreographing it for us. We arent telling anyone it is happening so it will be a surprise.
