Wedding planning had been going so smoothly, I guess it's inevitable that something would go wrong eventually! I ordered all of our tableware a couple of weeks ago (wanted to make sure I got nice, biodegradable disposables) and it all arrived last week at my parents' house. Yesterday when I was over they were like, "what are those small little bowls for?" And I was like, "I don't know what you're talking about, I didn't order any small little bowls..." I go look over everything - it's the plates I ordered for cocktail hour! They looked like they'd be big enough online but in person they were tiny! Definitely not suitable for cocktail hour. So I have to return them and eat like, $35 because of the return policy, as well as order new plates. But luckily what I'm getting back will cover new ones at least.
I guess my advice from my goof would be - check sizes and don't believe pictures online!
