For my high school prom I wanted a curly half up-do and it fell almost completely in about an hour. I am not too picky about my hair for my wedding but it would be nice to do something different than wear it straight like always. However, curly is my favorite and if there is any way to make it happen, that would be ideal. Does anyone know of any hairstyles that work well for fine hair?

I have long fine strawberry blonde hair that’s mostly naturally straight (it colics and waves in awkward areas where I have breakage). I have the same issues. What helps me is applying Sally’s ion thickening styler to my roots while wet/damp and blow dry hair upside down. When dry, keep hair upside down and blow dry your roots with cold air so the lift stays in your hair. Then flip hair, apply fine hair spray (I use tresemme) throughout hair to add texture before curling, comb it and then curl it. Hold each curl up for a few seconds so it cools a little. I’ve also noticed the curls stay better when I curl it with a STRAIGHTENER INSTEAD OF A CURLING IRON. When done. For natural curls, toss hair upside down a few times and gently finger through roots and bottom half. Next flip up, style it with fingers and gently apply hairspray to hold it. Sometimes I gently comb the very ENDS of my hair to soften them so they’re not straggly/messy looking.

There also is a simple way to use egg to treat your hair make it thicker -- or more manageable. I don't have the info in front of me though. It can be found easily enough.
