Finding your groom's ring?

Should I go to an actual jeweler in person or is anyone going Etsy with their groom's wedding band? He wants a wooden inlay on his ring

We have gone to a couple of different jewelers. Fiancé wanted to actually try stuff on before making decisions.

I think if you can find an in person vendor it would be nicer just because you can see it in person and feel it

We went to a few stores to try on wedding bands together so I could get a feel for his size and taste. We found what he liked and then I ordered a ring from Blue Nile instead of a traditional chain store. We saved hundreds on his ring this way. He just wanted a simple gold band and they were way more affordable on Blue Nile. Blue Nile is also where he got my engagement ring.

If you know what size he is it's nice on Etsy. I ordered my fiance's engagement ring, which is also wood, on Etsy.
If you don't know what size he is order a size, there's two types I reccomend ordering the keychain type to see how a ring would really fit your finger.

I ordered FH's ring online from antlerrings.com. He's a big hunter and wanted a ring with antler inlay. I highly recommend that site!! They have rings other than just antler rings as well. He found out his size while we were looking for my engagement ring so I knew what size to get him.

If your FH knows what he likes you can for sure go online. Etsy or other online stores often offer returns. We got my FH ring from Etsy. We wanted a very specific, custom design & the ring turned out really great!
If your FH has no idea what he likes then going to few stores so he can try things on, would be good.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a band with a wooden inlay from a traditional jewelry store. Etsy is a great option, but we went with a jeweler because having a warranty was important to us.

I have learned that a ring in pictures and a ring in person can look completely different. I was absolutely shocked by the difference in the way the stone size looked. You prob wouldn't have this issue with men's bands, but it's something to consider. I think Etsy has a lot of beautiful jewelery but I got one ring from there that was super uncomfortable because the band had some "edges" to it. It was a round band, but it wasn't rounded enough to be comfortable, as if someone formed a circle freehand.
Avoid the mall stores, go to an independent jeweler if you want wholesale and reliable. It may be helpful to talk to jewelers just for ideas. For example, I don't know if a ring with a wooden inlay would be resizable.
