Finding the dress!!

My wedding is April 2020 and I've just started looking this past weekend.

I first went shopping May 3 (and bought it same day!) for my August 8 wedding. At the time, we didn’t have a date but knew it would be between August and October

A little over a year before and I picked my dress 11 months before the wedding. Most designers take 8 months to deliver.

My first dress appt was primarily to try different styles to see what I liked and didn’t, and it was about 17 months before our wedding. I haven’t really started looking yet since we are still over a year away, but I do have an appt the end of next month during National Bridal Sale Week (7/20-7/27/19) which our local boutique participates in. Their website says all dresses will be under $700 during the event and their dresses usually start at $2500+, so maybe I’ll get lucky.

My day is in 405 days and I'm still looking. I have an idea of what I want, I just need to try one on

I got my dress a few weeks before we got engaged, actually! I got it in March, and our wedding is in February.

We got engaged December 25th, 2018. We picked our wedding date and secured our wedding venue within one month of our engagement. January 25th, 2019 I went shopping and found my wedding dress. I got my dress back May 10th. Our wedding date is December 14th, 2019.

I started looking in January and we are getting married in November . I found my dress at the beginning of March

8 months and found my perfect dress the first time I looked!

Started browsing a few weeks after the engagement, had the first (and only!) shopping appointment in November of 2017 for our October 2018 wedding. Yes, had plenty of time, but didn't expect to find THE dress so fast!

Hey Ayreona! Have you looked into and wedding dress styles that you love?

I started looking in June for a wedding that was supposed to be August 2020, I found my dress, but now the wedding is April 2021, so I got mine way in advance xD I figure it's never too early to start looking, especially knowing that turnaround and delivery can sometimes take months. I prefer not being stressed about my dress being here on time because I already have it.
