Finding hotel suites for my bridal Party

Caramelpockets, on September 13, 2016 at 4:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

This is the last thing on my to do list to get out the way now.. The night before my wedding I want my bridal party to be in one hotel in a suite so I can give them their gifts and we have our last girls night as me being single before the BiG day.. Probably is I can't find a hotel to fit the 9 of us. Does anyone that lives in Boston know and any bridal suites? I need one for the bridal party and the groomsmen.. I have been calling round but not having any luck

Wait, do you want a suite to hang out with all your BMs but just you will sleep in, or a room that sleeps all 9?

For 9 people you might have to do two rooms. I'm booking the bridal/honeymoon suite for the night before and the night of the wedding. The night before I'll stay there with my 3 bridesmaids (there is a king bed and queen pull out) and then the night of the wedding FH and I will stay there.

You are not going to fine a single room that sleeps 9.... the max will be 6 (and that is 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa.....)

Then I'll get a bridal Suite and an extra room for the girls.. And just share the two rooms. I was really hoping to get one room forever.

I'm doing the same as @MelissaErin but only my Matron of Honor, and daughters will be with me the night before.

MelissaErin I was planning on spending the night at the hotel too after the wedding for the whole weekend.

Instead of a hotel, why not book a house through Air BnB or whatever copycat service is out there? It's probably going to be prohibitively expensive to get a penthouse at a hotel in Boston (the only way you could really fit that many people comfortably), so you could look at whatever historical and adorable houses are available.

Two adjoining rooms is probably the best you are going to do in a hotel. Also, check AirBnB for a house or condo rental in your city

I like @Ro's rental house suggestion - or you could look for adjoining suites!

Do any of your bridesmaids have significant others who will be there that weekend? That's my only hesitation - is that they will want to book accommodations with their SO!

Yes WWLynnie My sister is one of my bridesmaids and her husband is the best man. I'll get their input on things. I still have the problem of how everyone is getting home after the reception. I was going to have the Limo service drop us off and after the reception everyone would get home but I remember the wedding party will be in the Limo so how are they getting to their cars

Do your bridesmaids have dates or are they traveling? Just something to keep in mind. 4 out of 5 of mine are coming from out of state with dates and there is no way I would expect them to leave their dates to hang out with me all night.

@FutureMrs.G My two of my bridesmaids have dates already. And one their dates is the best man. This was their idea about hanging out the night before the wedding. I told them I was getting a hotel room for us to get ready at and have the makeup artist and the hairdresser meet us there. And they added the hangout late. And I thought it was good idea to give their gifts that night as well.. We are not having a rehearsal dinner. I guess I could give it to them the morning off. But like I said they came to me with the idea of hanging out the night before and I agreed! Thought it would be a lot of fun. And have some great surprises for them for being my MOH and my bridesmaids! I do have one guess that is traveling and I need to find them hotel.. There is one round the corner from my house and they are expensive just for one night! Ugh!

How much are you willing to spend? You can find a room that sleeps nine, but you'll pay a lot for it. Nicer hotels will have either two or three-bedroom suites with a pull-out sofa and/or a penthouse/presidential suite. I ended up booking a suite, but I could have booked a top-floor three-bedroom suite that sleeps 16 for $1000 a night. I just didn't want to spend the money.

Elizabeth K. I agree with you.. I don't want to spend that kind of money either. I think I'm just going to book two rooms side by side. And hopefully I can get one with a door that opens in both rooms we can get back and forth easily. Or I forget about the night before all together and just book it the day of and everyone will meet there.
