I am happy to say that we are finally done with the RSVP waiting game! Since I see a lot of questions on here regularly about decline rates, etc., I thought I would share our numbers. We invited 103 guests, but only expected about 75 to attend. We received 25 declines, but 14 of these were children (we were happy to invite all of our friends' children, but most of them said they would rather stab their eyes out than bring their kids ), and 3 of these were from relatives in Canada who we knew would be unable to attend due to travel restrictions. So, we really only received 8 true declines from adults, and only 2 of them indicated it was due to concerns about COVID. Truthfully, I thought the COVID decline rate would be a lot higher than that, but probably 75% of our adult guests will be fully vaccinated by our date, so that has been a true blessing. I think the hardest part of wedding planning is spending a year+ planning a big event, but not know for sure who could/would attend until now, when we are only 27 days out! Wishing the rest of you more patience than I had during the response period
