I have been planning/paying for our wedding myself and let me just say it has been VERY stressful. I have felt like I couldn’t be excited for any milestone because it also came with a lot of stress and anxiety. Well to ease that, I had always wanted to hire a DoC and just couldn’t find room in the budget. Well my FH aunt is an event planner and agreed last night to be our complete DoC!!!! She even wants to start coordinating with our vendors starting now and is making the day of timeline! It feels like an enormous weight has been lifted from my shoulders, and I actually am looking forward to the day instead of feeling anxiety!!!!

That's super nice of her! Our DOC is proving herself to be well worth it - I'd definitely be way more stressed without her help.

Yay! My aunt who's a full-time event planner will also be our DOC! I have 95% of the planning done so I didn't need help with anything before the wedding. I just wanted her to be in charge the day of! Her daughter is one of my bridesmaids, and her husband is one of the pastors marrying us so she was going to be there early anyways. Glad that weight was lifted off your shoulders!

Yessssss. My first cousin the only one on my mother's side is a event planner as her hobby. She has always been close to me. And she will do it for free but I'm going to give my cousin a couple hundred. $200 most likely as I'm not rich.
