I would wait another year. Unfortunately relationships change and there really isn't a benefit to asking them this early.

WAIT. Relationships change, who you’re close to today could be completely different in a year. You don’t want to be saddled with some old friend you aren’t close to anymore who’s salty about it, as a bridesmaid. WAIT.

Not too early.

I’d definitely wait until you’re a year or less out. Like others said, relationships can change for the better or for the worse.

I would wait another year before you ask. We asked ours a year out. I got nice boxes and put in some spa products, a candle of their favorite scent, their favorite candy and a small bottle of wine and a glass.

A lot of people say to wait until 1 year out or less, just because relationships will change. I knew mine wouldn't (and they didn't) so I asked my 9 bridesmaids 16 months out.

My wedding is March 2021 (I've been engaged since July 2018) and I plan on asking my girls in March 2020 (maybe January or February at the earliest), so at about a year out. I already know who I'm asking and I don't think it will change, but it seems like a good timeline. It depends on you and your relationships with your friends/siblings.
