Final Headcount

NerdLove, on September 27, 2016 at 10:18 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

So, I'm supposed to have my final headcount for the venue/caterer this Saturday. I have a few people who haven't RSVP'ed yet. Should I account for half or all of the people who have not RSVP'ed?

Reach out to each person who hasn't RSVPed and get their answer.

    It's a pain but needed

Reach out to the non responders and get an answer. Dreading this part.

Been trying, but half of them are international, so getting a hold of them isn't easy. The other half keep saying "we'll know in a few days." I just want to have a good idea of what to say if I don't get all the answers in time.

Call, tell them they're past the deadline, and you have to give a final count. You might need to be a little more forceful. But not rude.

If they're past the deadline, tell them you're sorry but you have to give the final headcount to the caterer.

Yes it totally sucks but reach out to the ones who haven't RSVP yet. Most of mine that I had to reach were yes's!

Not to be mean I would count them out completely some people don't understand the meaning of RSVP when my time come and they haven't they will simply be counted out no time for last minute expenses

Don't be afraid to get firm with people. "I understand you're finalizing plans, but I need your final answer by Friday."

You need to follow up with everyone some people could have sent in their RSVP and it got lost in the mail just follow up and say hi haven't gotten your RSVP wanted to see if you're going to be able to come to the wedding I need to let the caterer no final numbers.

If they don't give you a straight answer just say okay I just need to know by whenever for you it's like tomorrow. If they can't give you a final answer you have to include them which sucks because I feel like if you don't know if you're coming to the wedding three weeks before the wedding you're not coming to the wedding. But you have to count on the fact that they're just like you and they are coming or you won't have a chair and food for them which is bad

It's so easy. "Hi Aunt Sally, I haven't received your rsvp to our wedding. Our final numbers are due to the caterers this Friday so if we don't hear from you before then we will have to unfortunately mark you down as a no. Please let us know if you are able to attend. We would love to see you. "
