Final Countdown Stress

Emily, on January 18, 2020 at 8:39 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hey everyone,

So, we are only 90 days out, and the stress has been real. I just don't know what I might be missing, I am stressing day of timelines and overall just feeling crazy. Add on top of the normal stress the fact that this Thursday, our wedding venue caught on fire. The damage was pretty significant- the kitchen is gone and the dining room is pretty damaged between the smoke and water. At this time, we don't even know if we will be able to have the wedding there. The owner asked us to wait until this coming Wednesday so he can get contractors in and get more accurate estimates, but with our date quickly approching I am not holding out hope, which absolutely stinks since this venue was the right price, included everything we wanted and fit my literary theme to a tee (it was a historic inn!). I'm just so scared about having to start over venue wise (and budget wise - we have saved for this venue and everything else is more money for less).

Anyway, now that I've finished venting about that, I am curious if anyone else has some day of timelines they have set up or used....I just don't know how early to start our day! Our ceremony is at 3pm, for some added info.
Thank in advance everyone! I've always loved the advice I've gotten through this platform!!

2:15 PM: Photos at church with family and bridal party

2:30 PM: bus departs for photo tour with photographer and bridal party. Family can leave to make reception preparations

4:30 PM: Wedding party arrives at reception venue

5:00 – 5:45 PM: Cocktail hour on the lawn

5:45 PM: Seating of guests in the barn

6:00-6:15 PM: Grand entrance into barn of bride & groom; they introduce bridal party.

Our friend’s venue was struck by lightning & the damage from the fire/smoke made the venue unusable - this happened less than 2 weeks before their wedding date! They were able to move everything to another venue & it all worked out fantastic! Don’t worry Smiley smile
