Final count / rsvp

Officiallymrs, on April 21, 2018 at 1:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 14
My wedding is October 27, 2018.. my venue asks that we give them the final count 45 days in advance !! Does that seem a little excessive ?.. also now I’m not sure when I should have invitations sent out by and when I should ask for the RSVPs by !? Any help would be great. Thanks

That does seem early! The earliest I've seen is 30 days but most want it 1-2 weeks before. You figure out the date by counting backwards from the date your final number is due. Give yourself 2 weeks to follow up with those who haven't responded. So your RSVP date is 2 weeks before the 45th day. Then your invitations should go out 6-8 weeks before your RSVP date is due.

Yes, it does! With all of my girls they didnt need final numbers til 10 days out. Ask them why they need your count so early. No one orders food 7 weeks out.

That's pretty early, it's normally 2 weeks prior to your day. Have you asked why 45 days?

Since we have to give our final numbers 5 days prior, that seems super early to me. Why do they need it that early?

    Hi date twin!

I think 45 days is really early. I don't have to give my final numbers until 2 weeks before.

That's a great wedding date Smiley winking wedding twins! That does seem like a really long time for final numbers. I think we need to tell them like 2 weeks? We sent out our invites super early but we are doing it in Vegas so we wanted those invited plenty of time to save and plan for it

That is pretty far out. My caterer wants numbers 30 days before, so I set my RSVP date for two weeks before that to give time to follow up and sent out invitations six weeks before that which ended up being 12 weeks before the wedding.

Hello! Wow, my wedding is May 12 2018 and the final head count is due May 9.

However, I have heard others asking for 10 to 15 days prior though.

Guys, I just re-read my contest and my final count isn’t due until 4 weeks ( about 30 days prior) so now I’m reading all of my contracts trying to see where I saw 45 aDays LOL
